Good nutrition is a key foundation to good health. The fuel we give our bodies’ comes directly from the nutrients we consume. These nutrients sustain life by providing us with the basic materials our bodies need to carry on their daily functions.
As a qualified nutritionist, I am passionate about helping people feel healthy and energised from from the inside out. I do this by identifying your bodies sensitivities, and allergens to identifying the best food for you.
We are all unique. One person’s good food choices could be another person’s poison. Identifying what foods are best to avoid is one positive step to gaining purer energy and physical and mental health.
I look at three types of foods:
Biogenic foods: give us energy and benefit the body by providing the nutrients, vitamins and minerals in balance which the body utilises to grow healthy new tissue, and sustain our energy levels in a balanced way.
Biostatic foods: is food that when neither benefits the body nor does harm to it. What little energy they yield, the body has to use up in the digestive and eliminative processes.
Biocidic foods: actually deplete the body of energy and are the potential cause of many imbalances which can eventually lead to the onset of disease. It is important to know which foods are harmful for us. It is the daily consumption of foods that are biocidic, and toxic to the system that eventually weaken the body, lower the immune response level and allow disease processes to commence, rather than the occasional foods.
